Recently our community has focussed its efforts on promoting Development and Peace initiatives (e.g. Third World Debt petitions; poor persons supper). We have a small committee who are currently discerning our community's response to the many injustices in our city and province. We would welcome your input and assistance. Two families in the parish have recently committed themselves to providing moral and emotional support to a low income family in the city for a year. Catholic Family Services, through its Family to Family Ties program, is co-ordinating the initiative. We will be offering to support to our parish families who undertake this responsibility, and encourage other families to consider becoming personally involved with the poor in our midst.
